General Information Weather There are two seasons: From January to June is the hot season. Rains are most common early mornings in January. Water temp. 22 - 28°C (70 - 85F) Air temp. 25 - 30°C (78 - 88F) Strong sun and calm sea. Hottest month is March. From July to December there may be misty rains, water temp 16 - 22°C (60 - 70F) Air temp. 20 - 28°C (68 - 80F) Occasional clouds or overcast, light rains, and light chop at sea. The coldest month is September. There are no storms in Galapagos.
What to bring For all programs it is recommended to bring: On board life is quite casual , comfortable clothing is a must; slacks, or a dress for evening meals/dinner; bathing suits, shorts, hat or scarf, sun screen, windbreaker-type jacket, binoculars, camera, and plenty of film. Some of the spots you will be visiting are very slippery. A good part of the walking will be across lava flows; therefore, tennis shoes, boots or similar footwear are also a must. For the hiking program add appropriate trekking boots, long pants, cotton socks. Snorkeling equipment and backpacks are available on board upon request.
Luggage Due to space limitations on the regular flight, internal flight from Baltra to Isabela islands and also on the boat, it is highly recommended that you bring only one standard suitcase (20 kilos – 40 pounds) and a small duffle bag. It is recommended that all checked luggage be securely locked at all times. It is important to take note that internal flight from Baltra to Isabela islands is operated with small aircraft.

The National Park collects in cash $100 tax upon arrival at Galápagos.

The departure tax is $25 payable at the international airport from Quito or Guayaquil when you leave Ecuador
